ANAHEIM TO HOST THE LARGEST FRESH PRODUCE TRADE SHOW IN AMERICA

SALINAS, Calif. - Sept. 22, 2009 - The Produce Marketing Association's Fresh Summit Conference, the largest fresh produce trade show in the country, returns to Anaheim this year, Oct. 3-5. The trade show brings together fresh produce growers from around the U.S. and provides them with a venue to introduce new products to supermarket executives and a forum to discuss the hottest topics affecting the produce industry, including food safety and rising food costs.

Family-owned Mann Packing Company, the industry leader in fresh-cut vegetables, will be participating in the trade show where the company will feature a variety of its fresh-cut, ready-to-eat vegetables. Lisa Lillien, a bestselling cookbook author and the founder of hungry-girl.com, will make an appearance at the Mann booth to sign copies of her new book and serve Mann's Asian Slaw on Simply Singles™ red leaf lettuce.

Lisa Lillien shares her food obsession with millions through her Hungry-girl.com daily e-mails, weekly columns in the New York Daily News, and contributions to People magazine, WeightWatchers.com and Yahoo!. She also appears on the television entertainment show Extra. The appearance at the PMA Fresh Summit kicks off a collaboration between the company and Hungry Girl: Her image and seal of approval will be featured on packages of Mann's Broccoli Cole Slaw, Rainbow Salad™ and Sweet Potatoes starting this fall.
